Wendel V. Hall is a senior associate at Siff & Lake. He focuses on litigation of labor and employment matters, as well as immigration law issues. He counsels public companies and privately-held businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals on a range of labor and employment and immigration matters, as well as complex regulatory issues. Mr. Hall also negotiates and prepares employment, compensation, and severance agreements for senior executives and professionals.
For more than six years, Mr. Hall served as a senior litigator in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. He has litigated more than 100 matters as lead counsel and successfully defended a wide range of governmental actions. Mr. Hall represented agencies and officials of the District of Columbia, including the District of Columbia judicial system, the Chief of Police, the Chief of the Fire Department, and senior cabinet officials. Although a substantial focus of his efforts was labor and employment and related civil rights litigation, he also litigated a variety of matters including government contracts, insurance subrogation, and false claims matters.
Mr. Hall co-authored the Employment Discrimination section of the District of Columbia Bar’s Practice Manual (16th Edition). He has spoken on employment law to national audiences such as the Practicing Law Institute and the International Municipal Lawyers Association, and he has led bar association seminars.
Recent Awards
God and Youth Award, Archdiocese of Washington, 2009. This award recognizes Mr. Hall’s long-term dedication and volunteer contributions to the welfare of local teens.
