ANDREW M. SIFF is the Managing Partner of Siff & Lake. His practice focuses on a range of labor and employment, immigration law, and election law and government ethics matters, as well as litigation and public policy issues related to these practice areas. Mr. Siff has developed labor, employment, and government ethics compliance programs for a range of employers and nonprofit entities. He represents clients in investigations and administrative proceedings involving the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, federal immigration law, federal lobbying and ethics law, and federal election law. A substantial part of Mr. Siff’s practice also entails counseling individuals and organizations on negotiating and enforcing employment contracts and non-competition agreements. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Siff was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of a Florida law firm. In addition to his private practice experience, Mr. Siff has held senior positions in government as Chief of Staff and Counselor to the United States Secretary and as Chief Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration for current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). He also served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Danny J. Boggs of the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. During his government service, Mr. Siff received numerous awards and recognitions, including The U.S. Secretary of Labor’s Exceptional Achievement Award, and appointment by Senate Leadership to be Chief Counsel to the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies for President George W. Bush (2000-2001). Mr. Siff is a frequent lecturer, on labor and employment matters, immigration law, and government ethics issues for bar associations, industry groups and nonprofit organizations. His professional activities include serving on the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Practice Group of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy. He has also served as the Management Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, Subcommittee on Legislative Developments. |
