T. FOSTER HASELDEN is an attorney at Siff & Associates practicing labor and employment law and election law and government ethics. A substantial part of his practice focuses on wage and hour issues, the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, and counseling federal contractors and other employers on the use of the E-Verify Immigration Verification System. Mr. Haselden joined the firm after serving as the Special Assistant to the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division at the United States Department of Labor. In this position, he handled legal matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Davis-Bacon Act, and the Service Contract Act. Mr. Haselden also previously served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel at the United States Department of Defense. Prior to his service in the Executive Branch, and immediately upon graduating from law school, Mr. Haselden spent two years clerking for the Honorable Terry L. Wooten of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. Mr. Haselden graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he served as the Associate Editor-In-Chief of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal. He was also a recipient of the Shepard Kollock Nash Merit Scholarship. Prior to law school, Mr. Haselden served two years as a deputy press secretary and speechwriter for a United States Senator. He received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College where he was a three-time class president and the Student Body President during his senior year. |
